After this week I will post about the same to prevent the rod Woodson spent most of his time with the Pittsburgh Steelers and will be inducted into Hall of Fame football experts this weekend.
Interesting sidenote is how aggressive is the Woodson interceptions. He return of 12 touchdowns to 71 picks, a No. 1 all time.
Woodson asked me recently about his thoughts on the equally aggressive Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Fleming who holds the NFL record for length of 107 interception return yards.
This is Woodson’s response:
“You need to be aggressive nature. I think teachers are more aggressive than I was. They want to every single ball he received in his hands for the touchdown. No. I want to capture and collapse at the end of a game that teachers are trying to return home. But I think it is a mindset that you need to have a defender. For me, I think most dangerous defender defender with his hand on the ball. When you are editing and you can score on defense to be added to your football team wins the game. “

CANTON, Ohio — Rod Woodson’s NFL statistics over 17 seasons were so gaudy and his place on the NFL’s vaunted 75th Anniversary Team as an
active player so impressive, he was a shoo-in to be voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility.
“I’ve seen it from afar, but getting on this stage, it’s a whirlwind,” said Woodson, 44, who has spent the five years since his retirement from the league as an analyst for the NFL Network.
Woodson earned 11 Pro Bowl berths, was All-Pro six times at three positions — cornerback, safety and kick returner — and holds the NFL record for career touchdowns off interception returns with 12.
